PPAP deliverable guide

How to complete Part Submission Warrant (PSW)

The PSW is the supplier’s formal statement of the PPAP submission status for a specified part and configuration. Complete the customer’s current form or portal fields exactly as required.

Complete the fields

Part and organization identification
Enter the customer part number, supplier part number, part name, manufacturing site, supplier code, customer, and submission date exactly as requested.
Submission reason and level
Select the actual reason for submission and the customer-requested submission level. Do not choose a level based on a previous program.
Part weight and production information
Complete weight, cavity count, tooling, or production information only as defined by the customer form and using the required units.
Declaration and result
State the submission result truthfully. List deviations, interim approvals, or nonconformities through the customer’s required route; do not certify full approval when evidence is incomplete.
Authorized signature
The designated supplier representative signs only after the evidence matrix and cross-document review are complete. Record name, title, date, and customer disposition.

Step-by-step completion sequence

  1. Use the customer’s current PSW form or portal and confirm the requested submission reason and level.
  2. Complete identification fields from controlled source records, not memory or old PSWs.
  3. Verify all requested PPAP evidence is complete, current, traceable, and internally reviewed.
  4. Document deviations or interim conditions according to customer instructions.
  5. Obtain authorized supplier sign-off, submit through the required route, and retain the customer disposition.
PPAP control point: The customer’s current submission request, customer-specific requirements, and approved forms control. This guide explains a practical way to prepare the record; it does not authorize a substitute format or acceptance criterion.
